Our Story
Morning Ground began in 2019 when two friends — one a baker, the other a barista — decided Grey Lynn needed a cafe that felt like home. No pretension. Just good food, great coffee, and a place where the neighbourhood could gather.
Five years later, the recipe hasn't changed. We still bake everything in-house from 4am. We still roast our own blend. We still know most of our regulars by name.
